Tshwaranang invites you to a Maintenance Paralegal Forum on the 7th August 2012. If you deal with maintenance or maintenance – related issues regularly, this is your opportunity to obtain the basic legal skills and knowledge you need to be more effective in your interactions.
The purpose of this paralegal forum is to empower you by equipping you with legal knowledge, allowing you to provide basic legal advice to your clients and also to refer those cases requiring legal assistance. This is intended to be a very practical workshop and you will be provided with an information pack which we shall work through at the Forum. Some of the outcomes for the day are:
- Discussion of the Maintenance Act
- Discussion of key provisions such as Emoluments attachments orders, Garnishee orders, etc
- A specific focus on completing the Application for Maintenance Form
