Anneke Meerkotter completed her B.Proc and LLB degrees at the University of Western Cape (UWC).  She was then employed at the Community Law Centre  at UWC in both the Gender and Children’s Rights Projects.  Her work focused on child justice and reproductive  rights and the rights of commercial sex workers. She also coordinated a diversion programme for young offenders.  Anneke practiced as an attorney at the Aids Law Project  before joining TLAC in 2006. Anneke is the mother to 13 month old daughter, Mia.

Anneke is a member of the Law and Human Rights Working Group of the South African National AIDS Council (SANAC)
